PAINTING WORKSHOP - at Allan Bank, Grasmere on Friday 25th April 2025
'Finding expression in painting the landscape' is a one day WORKSHOP I will be leading at the National Trust property of Allan Bank in Grasmere on Friday 25th April 2025. Be inspired by the same unique Lakeland views from the house and grounds which influenced Wordsworth. I will be demonstrating throughout the session to show step by step how I build up the painting surface - but the main focus will be on time and space for you to sketch and develop ideas in completing your own oil or acrylic painting ** WITH OUTDOOR OR INDOOR PAINTING DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER ON THE DAY! **
This series of WORKSHOPS by various Lake Artists continues on the success of last year when a series of day long workshops at Allan Bank were augmented to celebrate the Lake Artists Society 120th anniversary year. More workshops will also be available in July and August to coincide with the annual Summer Exhibition at Grasmere Village Hall. Each session is run by a different Society member artist. 10-4pm with limited numbers: £75 each. Tea and coffee is provided but bring your own lunch
