Rannerdale
This series of paintings is developed from a walk around the Bluebells that spring up in Rannerdale near Crummock Water in April time. This area of the Lake District in Cumbria is often overlooked but no less beautiful. Here I have thought to capture the warmth of the spring with an underlying cadmium orange that shines through the impasto paint layered on top
These paintings are all complete with beautifully handmade, deep, scooped and hand-painted wooden double frames - leading the eye into the work. Signed by me on the front - and all labelled on the reverse these are ready to hang
