Langdales
This series of paintings is developed from a weekend walking and sketching in and around the Langdale Valley. From sketches and paintings of less well known areas to iconic views - this series seeks to capture something of the lush greenery to the open and inviting hidden pathways that meander among the hills. The impasto paint layered wet on wet is to create depth and connection with the landscape. Mainly smaller works this series is however capped with a large triptych
These paintings are all complete with beautifully handmade and hand finished deep, scooped and white-washed frames - which leads the eye right into the work. Signed by me on the front - and all labelled on the reverse these are ready to hang
